Beauty Notes: bareMinerals Illuminating White Treatment
You know we love bareMinerals and I was intrigued when they launched the illuminating white treatment which seemed firmly targeted at the Asian market what with our horror for freckles . With the weather warming up, I'm not a fan of thick creams so I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this treatment which was super lightweight yet felt moisturizing. So what's the spiel for this cream and why does it work? According to the brand, this treatment combines whitening ingredients such as tropical ginger and vitamin C with "a blend of brightening minerals to target, help break down and treat stubborn pigmentation while preventing new spots from forming." (Sidenote, it always makes me smile when I read stubborn spots, I have this mental image of dark dots throwing fits and refusing to leave my face.) How effective is it? In terms of whitening, I haven't quite noticed any significant different but that's only because I've been using it for a couple weeks and it does take some time for whitening creams to work. Regardless though, I love the texture and will keep using it to see if it works which is more than I can say for some other brands. Priced at HK$460/28g
